Well Ivy League doesn't offer athletic scholarships if I'm not mistaken so the impact isn't as bad as the media hypes it up.
Just got out of a clinic with 30 D2, D3 and NAIA coaches and at this point everything points to a go. Ultimately it will depend what the D1 schools do I would think.

They don’t offer athletic scholarships. What they do instead of athletic is they offer an academic scholarship for Being on the sports teams. So, yes it greatly affects the athletes who attend these schools, as now they have had a year of the sport they play taken away from them. Bigger question is what this will do for the future of the sports in the Ivy League

Bigger question is what this will do for the future of the sports in the Ivy League I am pretty sure that all the schools will honour the scholarships (at least they are at the schools my daughters are at and those of a few of the other players they know)that they have offered so the only thing the students are missing out on is the season. There will likely be an impact moving forward until revenue can be built up again at schools but places like the IVY leagues have deep Alumni pockets that will still be enough to offer money to offset the tuition costs and such

Ivy League kids are students first and most of the schools have huge endowments. They do not offer athletic or academic/merit scholarships. They are need blind and offer up to full aid based on family need. All you have to do is get in and they ensure you can afford to go.
70% of NCAA revenue (ie scholarships) comes from March Madness which was just cancelled. Football season might be next on the chopping black and it is a huge revenue generator for NCAA and the schools who host games. International students contribute about $45 Billion in tuition and these students may have their visas pulled this year. The number of students opting to defer and take a gap year has skyrocketed this year. School losses and partial refunds that were issued for this past term/spring were very high across the board.
All of this spells big trouble looming for schools without very large endowments. Coaches and schools administrators are going to tell you everything is fine... but the losses will have to be made up somewhere and many schools will simply not survive... especially if the pandemic shuts schools down again in the fall. Who knows, maybe the will all make fortunes in the volatile market where their endowments sit!!!
