Here is a communication that went out today via our tournament software platform:
UTM Early Bird Weekend
Hello coaches, managers, parents...
At present we are in a "holding pattern" for the Early Bird tournament. We will not officially cancel this event until either we hear from PWSA, Softball Ontario or Softball Canada that events need to be cancelled. I think with each passing day, the chances of this event happening grow slimmer... as perhaps the best case scenario for all of us is that we can hopefully perhaps get going late May or early June.
Due to the nature of this event (no medals), we do not have any sunken costs. If the event is cancelled all teams that have paid will receive a full refund of the $200.00 entry fee. If and when we get to that point I will reach out to everyone again. For now, I want to wish you and your families good health. For any of you that are on the front lines fighting the battle against COVID-19 in our community... you all are our heros. We all appreciate the hard work you are doing each day, and the strain it can put on your own personal health and your loved ones.
