I am pleased to announce that Megan Evans has accepted the position as Pitching Development Director for the Brampton Blazers. Megan will run a clinic every Saturday starting October 14th, there will be weeks when she is unavailable but the plan is to run this from October 14 to the end of April. Megan is a star pitcher, player, and teacher of the game.
Megan will be working with each team in our program and establishing team goals and an individual pitching program for our Blazer pitchers, her program will be tailor made for each child and age group with the goal of making each child, faster, more accurate, and smarter at every level. We feel that Megan will take our program which we believe is one of the elite programs in Ontario to an even higher level and are so proud to have her join in training our young ladies. She will work with each coach to ensure that her teachings with each child are reinforced in their team’s individual practices
During her distinguished career played mostly in the Eastern GTA where she grew up she played for the Whitby Eagles, Pickering Heat and Markham Tigers, she has been a member of both the Senior Canadian National team and the Junior Canadian National team. Her playing career extending to a 4 year program at Winthrop University in South Carolina a division 1 program. At Winthrop she was selected Freshman of the year with an outstanding 25 – 7 record. She was an all-conference selection for 2007, 2008, 2009 and team captain for the 2010 season.
During her club career she had many outstanding achievements, tournament MVP at Nationals in 2007, 2009 All-Star pitcher award, 2010 Top Pitcher award, 2015 Championship round MVP award and won National Championships in 2014, 2015 & 2017.
