On behalf of the PWSA, please find the following information with respect to the Men's and Women's Fastpitch event taking place this weekend in Kitchener:
Starting this Friday, at the Peter Hallman Ball Yard several elite Canadian teams will be participating in a U21 event dubbed "Not the Nationals". Provincial teams from Ontario, Prince Edward Island & Newfoundland will join Ontario club teams Mississauga South West, Port Perry and Brampton will particpate in the women's side. The men's event features New Hamburg, Owen Sound, Alvinston, Chippewa, Port Perry and Manitoba. PWSA leadership, including Debbie Malisani has worked hard over the past number of weeks to recruit some top caliber teams to this event, and the games will all be played at the beautiful Peter Hallman Complex in Kitchener, ON. Games begin Friday morning at 9am at Peter Hallman Ballyard and continue all weekend, with championship play-downs beginning at 10 am on Sunday . The championship games will be played at 2pm. Admission is $10 per adult, and the proceeds will be in support of Strong Start for Reading, a charity that helps develop reading skills in young elementary students.
