The 2nd Annual High School Prospects Camp is sold out.
An great indicator of the interest in playing softball at Ontario universities and colleges. Thank you

My daughter (2021) attended this camp over the weekend at the Fieldhouse Training Centre.
The afternoon was okay there was a fair amount of standing around while players waited for others to do drills etc. One thing that stood out to me was that to my knowledge only 1 school (Waterloo) took the time to come into the waiting area and speak directly to the parents that were in attendance. It was nice to see they even had two players from the team come out as well and offer to answer any questions anyone may have had. After on the way home my daughter advised that the coach, and the two players also took the time to meet with her and her friends during a lull time on the field. I wish other schools did the same because even though she is only in grade 11 I don't think Waterloo as a school has what she wants. Just too bad others didn't talk about their academics and softball like that group did.

The Waterloo coach invited us to attend a double header this past season and they have a very good team. The coaches and players were friendly and inclusive. Sadly the university does not offer the major she's pursuing because Waterloo would be a positive atmosphere to play softball. I would suggest attending some of their games and warming up with the team, you won't regret it.
