I see they have again plunked it down in the middle of a busy tournament weekend, and the Team O camp is the next weekend.
Here is a thought, perhaps host the ID camps mid-week for the >10% of the players involved so you don't eliminate two popular tournament weekends for the >90% who won't be attending either. Or better yet maybe find another form of fundraiser.

Why that weekend! Wow. Not only two of the busiest tournament weekends in Ontario, but countless large events Stateside those two weeks as well with the US season commencing. Would assume our team will now be short two weekends in row with 3 or more of our player's/parent's believing they're some of the best in Canada. Can't say disagree with Mom's post above. This isn't much more than a cash grab for most of the 90 to 95% of attending athletes. Some things don't change, some parents won't ever learn.

Personally have 0% interest but curious if the team isn't already mostly decided making the weekend chosen a moot point. I'm sure I'll feel some heat for saying that but it's a valid question. Devils advocate I suppose lol.

They always do this and land it right smack in the middle of a busy part of the season...and do it after the majority of teams have set their schedule and in many cases paid for the tourneys.
The year we attended we learned once it was over they were looking for two players 2 players...plus a potential alternative....the noise that this was nothing more than a money grab was loud and clear....yet they don't learn.
