In the first game of the opening round Canada plays just 2 innings of ball. Mercy rule stands at the top of 3 with Canada scoring 2 runs at the bottom of the 1st and a whopping 15 runs at the bottom is the 2nd. Final 17-0 Team Canada.

In the game between Argentina and Canada scheduled for today...it appears Argentina has Forfeited the game. On the Softball Canada home site the game today shows a 7-0 win
It also appears that BVI has done the same with their game scheduled against Venezuela.

Canada moves to 3-0 on the tourney with a 19-0 drubbing of Guatemala. Canada did not allow an opposing player on base for the 4 innings of play. In fairness Guatemala are a young team with some good talent.
I watched the game on the live stream off the WBSC website. Excellent quality and worth a look.

Canada moves to 4-0 with the win last night over Puerto Rico. The 3-0 victory was Canada's first real challenge of the Tourney to date. The PR team had the crisp play you would expect from a 6th ranked world team.
Canada has not allowed an opponent to score a run at this point. With the win Canada is tied with Mexico and Brasil at 4-0. That will not last long as Mexico and Brasil face off tonight and Canada plays the Bahamas at 9:00 edt. Free televised streaming is available and is excellent quality.

Canada will have to do it the hard way...falls to Mexico 2-1 in 7 innings. Canada will face Brasil tomorrow in a final attempt to grab the final spot to the Olympics. It sounds like the Mexican pitcher didn’t pitch earlier. We’ve seen that before even in U14 trying to hide a pitcher so the other team doesn’t see her that often. It worked for Mexico this time but tomorrow Canada should nail down their spot.
