For the amount of success some Ontario teams have had the last couple years at the midget level I am very surprised not to see more Ontario girls on that list! Just sayin.... )

Just sayin.... ) There certainly seems to have been a preference for western players in recent years. The JWNT try-outs of several years ago was all but decided in western try-outs with just 2 players and an alternate chosen from Ontario (my memory would stand corrected but it was a disappointing number none the less) There was a great deal of talent left by the waysides it seemed.
It is hard to says if it is bias, strategy or what....but it is certainly something that stands out on a list.

For sure, several years ago the West may have been somewhat more dominating thus ratio of players greater. Over last few years Ontario has closed the gap, caught up and surpassed many of the teams and players out West. Nationals proved it last year and especially this year. The winds are changing.
