Does anyone have any experience with this Michigan Blue Chip softball camp. The next one is July 6th and is the first in the summer of elite camps that I've seen that includes the class of 2023. It would be refreshing to get my 12 year old out of general camps. Any advice appreciated.

As this is being run in conjunction with the Firestix Tourney it would be wise to be there for the Tourney. Flint is about an hour west of Port Huron/Sarnia so not a ridiculous drive for those in Southern Ontario.
The Blue Chip camps seem to be well received and get positive comments. To attend this as a stand alone camp and not go to the tourney would not necessarily be a good use of resources. If a US camp is what you are after, pick one of the dozens run on campus of a US college/University in the Fall. If you need guidance on that please PM me.
The Firestix Tourney is a large event and generally well run. The park has 10 diamonds. A word of caution....book your hotel NOW. This is a popular mid-west tourney and teams generally book their hotel for next year as they check out from this year. Our first experience there taught us that as the closest hotel we could find was 35 minutes away from the ball Park. We booked a hotel for the next year a week after getting home but still had to call several to find rooms close to the park!

One further thing... Michigan Blue Chip and the Firestix Tourney are associated with PGF (Premier Girls Fastpitch). PGF is a national governing body in the US and is headquartered in Huntington Beach California. PGF is highly focused on competitive ball and is arguably the most competitive of the 5 major US organizations (ASA, NSA,USSSA, PONY being the other 4) www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NZfZbsWuiAPGF National championships are held in Southern California (Orange County) for all ages brackets. July 22-28 the 10U 12U and 18U play and July 29 - Aug 5 the 14U and 16U play. 440 teams attended last year and live TV coverage carried on Fox Sports, ESPN and Comcast.
