Ozzie Peppers series.
Five games in Mankato Minnesota. This is B rated travel ball park and I can't understand how given the minimum standards of the NPF they allowed this park.
Canada takes the loss to Peppers after a 5-0 lead in the 5th....final 6-5 Ozzie

Welcome to the travel ball park!
Seriously they fill the aluminum bleachers and probably have more people there than do the Comets or Eagles.
Game two....all Wild. Defence, Offence....smooth and efficient. Wild takes it 5-2

Inthestands: Thanks so much for taking the effort to post information and keeping us up to date on the Canadian Wild. It is interesting to hear various opinions on the facilities that the supposedly top Women's teams are using for home bases.
There was a recent article (google and see http://www.mankatofreepress.com) a couple of days ago about the Mankato (Aussie) Peppers getting ready to play the Canadian Wild.
I picked out a couple of quotes.
Aussie Peppers Head Coach is Laing Harrow (son of Bob Harrow) who was born in Ontario and started his softball career in towns like Milverton, Rostock, Monkton, Stratford, etc. All very small towns. After moving to Australia Laing became a very important member of the Aussie Men's National Team as both a player and a coach. He then switched over to the Women's game. Within the last 4 or 5 years Laing and the Aussie Men's teams "barnstormed" towns like Six Nations, Milverton, Kitchener, etc. So Laing has seen an abundance of different ballparks that he and his teams have played on.
So it is interesting in the article to see in print the following:
Aussie Pitcher Nicole Newman who was also First Team All-American from Drake who set an NCAA Single season record with 5 perfect games this spring. "It's been amazing especially here in Mankato. For being the first year in Mankato, the fans have been amazing. It's a great fan base with people who love watching softball."
Laing Harrow: "One thing about Caswell Park is that it feels like a ball park."
In Florida games were played in baseball stadiums. Caswell may not be a stadium but the set-up on Field 6 gets fans close to the action.
Sooooo, let's see what next year brings.
Inthestands: Once again copious thanks for your keeping us to date on the Canadian Wild.

NoPop....thanks
The only park Canada has not yet played in is Space Coast. I have watch parts of a couple of other games from there however and it is as would be expected of an organization the size of USSSA....superb. Although it is dual use Baseball/Sofball they are following the same field set up as Marion Ill and have the removable mound.

Continuing the final double header against the Peppers (due to a rain out yesterday)
The Wild sweeps the double header this evening
3-1 in game one and 4-1 game two
Great defensive plays in the middle infield and out field
They take the series 3-1
Canada heads home now for the Canada Cup in Surrey British Columbia (Metro Vancouver) and will return to NPF play on the 18th against the Pride at Space Coast Stadium.

USSSA Pride and Wild open a 5 game stand in Florida. The venue was not Space Coast stadium, but rather the Softball stadium next door. Good crowd on hand to watch and a the feeling of the park, although smaller than the baseball stadium suited Softball much better.
The Wild fall to the Pride in a game much closer than the 4-1 score would indicate.
